Wowwy! Well I’ve been busy, very busy with all sorts of game dev goodness.
Biology Battle
We shipped to Xbox360 on November 19th! You can visit the Xbox Marketplace page for Biology Battle here. So far we have received very great feedback from people, both the press and players.

The first Metacritic CG game!
Today we got our 4th Metacritic review, making Biology Battle the first XBLCG (Xbox Live Community Games) game with a Metacritic score! Our score is 73, which is really great because this is our first game EVER! Thank you so much for the support, and check out the Metacritic reviews if you have not yet
Made in Thailand
Coincidentally enough, Biology Battle is also the first game from Thailand to obtain a Metacritic score! This is a great success for our game industry, as it shows that small Thai studios, with a 100% Thai workforce (like Novaleaf) can compete on the global arena.
What price is a good price?
In hindsight, we could be a lot more popular and higher score if we charged 400 points for the game instead of the current 800 points. This was a tactical mistake for us, and we are unfortunately not able to change the price (Microsoft doesn’t enable us to do so at the moment). If I do a postmortum, I’ll make sure to let everyone know how it goes
Breaking even
It looks like Biology Battle will break even within the first year, which is a good thing for us, as it cost about $100,000 USD to create the game, and breaking even ensures that we’ll be able to produce more games for a long time to come

It’s Dec 23rd today, only a few days before Christmas! Have a happy holidays everyone. Here in Thailand (Bangkok) it’s nice and cool, so only maybe 80 degrees F during the day

What’s next?
Our plan is to release one game every quarter (3 months). This lets us experiment with new game ideas, do technology R&D, and quickly release games to retail (earn revenue!).
Jason Bomb
Our next game to be released is Jason Bomb. This game is scheduled to come out in January 2009, and is a platform-puzzle game. Development of the core game is complete, we are now working on the polish, and a level editor for creating the various levels we will ship with the game.

“Dating Sim” (Working Title)
We have started production of our 3rd game, a “dating sim” scheduled for release March 2009. This game is still under wraps, because of it’s unique gameplay mechanics, but we’ll be sure to announce it soon
ArenA MechA
This is our first venture into 3d, real-time, tactical action combat. ArenA MechA is scheduled for release in May 2009, and will support over 100 players via network play. Battle Royalee with cheese!
